In the immediate area of La Forge one can cross the road to the recreation area of the hamlet and enjoy tranquil picnics on the banks of the River Arget.

Behind the house there is a short walk to another beautiful park by the village of Serres. This area offers picnic tables and an outdoor fitness course with a variety of equipment which surrounds the lake.

Short walks of less than half a day can take you to the Northern ridge of the valley via quiet country roads or tracks often accompanied by the sound of traditional Pyrenean cow bells.
