Long walks offer just as many possibilities as the shorter ones. In all, there are about 50 longer walks listed in the local guides.

A classic example is the path to the refuge of Bassiès. Taking a small part of the great Pyrenean GR10, this walk starts about 45mins drive from La Forge.
The route takes the left bank of the Vicdessos to reach a chain of mountain lakes and the refuge surrounded by an arc of granite peaks.

Walking time; 6hrs there and back.
